For any further up-to-date information, please click here.

Witness an evening what it might have been like in 1790... with the Baroque Hall bathed in candlelight, a menu based on historical recipes, opera singers and instrumentalists dressed in the clothes of the Mozart era and - above all - with the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Dates in March

01.03., 03.03., 05.03., 07.03., 08.03., 10.03., 12.03., 14.03., 15.03., 17.03., 19.03., 21.03., 22.03., 24.03., 26.03., 28.03., 29.03.2020

The Concert

At the Mozart Dinner Concert you can look forward to the highest musical quality! The two opera singers and five instrumentalists of the AMADEUS CONSORT perform from the great Mozart operas "The Magic Flute", "Don Giovanni" and "The Marriage of Figaro" in the excellent acoustics of the Baroque Hall. The concert will take place in three parts before and between the courses of the dinner.

The Menu

Clear lemon chicken soup with curd cheese and rosemary dumplings
Breast of roasted capon (chicken) on red wine-herb glace with potato gratin and vegetables from Father Prior's garden
Half-frozen forest honey parfait on two different fruit sauces
(Vegetarian / vegan / allergen-free menus on request)

The venue

The magnificent baroque hall of the Abbey Culinarium St.Peter is one of the few concert halls in Salzburg where real candlelight is still allowed. You will hardly be able to experience this at any other concert. By the way, the Stiftskulinarium St. Peter is the oldest restaurant in Europe. It was first mentioned in a document in 803 on the occasion of a visit by Emperor Charlemagne. The Mozarts also came here, as Nannerl Mozart mentioned in her diary in 1783.
