Drinking tea in China or Japan, two worlds that couldn't be more different. While the Japanese tea ceremony follows strict rules, the Chinese is more flexible. There are also differences in the production of the teas: Whereas in China oxidation is stopped by heating the leaves in a wok, steam is used for this in Japan.

Enjoyment and well-being are closely linked to drinking tea. The pleasant warmth and scent can be calming as well as stimulating. The awareness that, as well as drinking it, tea can also be used in cooking has already spread throughout fine gastronomy. Nadja Huber-Ress has come up with an exquisite starter from the leaves of Japanese green tea.

After training as a tea sommelier, she made her dream a reality in 2021 and opened a tea salon in Salzburg.

The small but fine shop lures you in to taste and discover. You can also buy accessories for preparing your own tea at Tee am Eck. A hot tip for anyone who wants to savor tea in a very special way.
