Barocknacht 2023: Perfidious Albion
The annual Baroque Night, with five concerts organized by the Department of Early Music of the Mozarteum University, is one of the most important baroque music concerts in Salzburg.
The diverse program is designed by students and teachers of the department and includes different chamber music and orchestral instrumentations.
The concert of the Baroque Orchestra of the Mozarteum University, conducted by Vittorio Ghielmi, will feature symphonies by German composers living in London, including J. C. Bach and C. F. Abel. F. Abel, will be the highlight of the evening.
In addition, chamber music concerts will be performed by students and teachers of the various classes of early music with music from the Renaissance to Classicism, making the Baroque Night a contrasting, evening-long event in a special, spring-like atmosphere.
