La Muse Oubliée
Spanish pianist Antonio Oyarzabal plays works by: Mana Zucca (1885-1981), Amy Beach (1867-1944), Emiliana de Zubeldía (1888-1987), Ruth Crawford Seeger (1901-1953), Lûcija Garûta (1902-1977) and others.
Antonio Oyarzabal takes us on a journey through the work of various women composers, most of them also pianists. Their pieces were a real source of motivation and inspiration for him. Here he pays tribute to the names and works of these women, who are unjustly neglected and in the shadow of compositions written by men. Under the title La muse oubliée (under which he has already released a programmatic CD) he interprets works by Mana Zucca (1885-1981), Amy Beach (1867-1944), Emiliana de Zubeldía (1888-1987), Ruth Crawford Seeger (1901-1953), Lûcija Garûta (1902-1977) and others.
