“Don't play with your food”, was what used to be said. But it has long been shown that making food for children can be creative and playful. You can even throw in an artistic touch, even more so when you can eat your finished artwork. How do you get kids to eat healthily? This can be a challenge for parents who place great importance on a healthy nutrition. The Toy Museum addresses the subject creatively and even gets the kids involved.

In the Creative Zone on the first floor, where there is usually painting or crafts, this time it's all about healthy snacks. What can you make from food?

A few ingredients and a dose of creativity are all you need to create animals, faces, landscapes and even ornaments. This makes food fun, and kits get excited about healthy eating all along the way, as all products are organic and vegetarian.

The participants can choose what they want to use to make their edible artwork. Of course, they can also chop them up and arrange them on the plate themselves. Being creative with food: Kids can try out what is standard practice in gourmet kitchens at the Toy Museum. 

The workshop encourages doing this at home as well, all in the spirit of the wise old saying: You eat with your eyes.

The workshops take place from 08.03. to 22.03.2023, every Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
