CANCELLED! Why do we eat animals?

CANCELLED! Ultimately, it's always about how global meat consumption can be reduced to limit the suffering of the animals and the devastating consequences of mass animal husbandry has on the environment. Thomas Macho and Christian Seiler illuminate the cultural history of meat consumption, from the hunt to the religious offering to slaughter. It is very clear how differently people think about animals when you consider pets or fattening stock.

The GOOSEBUMP DISCUSSIONS are an initiative of the Blaue Gans restaurant, which can also be listened to as a podcast. “Thomas Macho and Christian Seiler held such a discussion in 2016", explains the manager of the Blaue Gans, Andreas Gfrerer. “This year's event promises to be a similarly enjoyable, smart and intellectually stimulating evening.”
The various meatless meals and vegetable dishes will be served in multiple courses. The communal meal and the togetherness, in connection with an exciting subject of discussion, are the central focus of the evening.
