The deconstructed Grünmarkt

The students of the graphic design and multimedia department of the HTL Salzburg have been addressing the special role that both markets play in the life of the city. They have delved into the origins of the food and want to find out more about the conditions which they are produced in. Like many other young people, they are very conscious of the things they eat. They are confronting their surroundings with a curious and precise eye, asking about the impact food production has on the environment.

The students have been searching for the answers to their questions for eat&meet. The fact that there are no simple answers inspires the young people's creativity. From their observations, they have developed performances for the markets, translating their knowledge into a sensual language and make the audience part of it.
