Ukrainian Icons - Young Faces of an Old Tradition.
The exhibition at Mozartplatz is dedicated to the icon as a phenomenon of Eastern Christian sacred art on the basis of works by well-known Ukrainian artists from the "Radruzh" School of Iconography of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Lviv, Ukraine. The "Radruzh" School of Iconography focuses on the study, revival and popularization of Eastern Christian iconography. The artists draw from the traditional canon of images and create modern images of ancient saints.
The exhibition is a cooperation with the Province of Salzburg and Ukraine Office Austria.
