5/8erl in Ehr'n

Max Gaier: vocal | Bobby Slivovsky: vocal | Miki Liebermann: guitar | Clemens Wenger: accordion | Hanibal Scheutz: bass

At least with his statement that 5/8erl in Ehrn is his favourite band former federal chancellor Christian Kern had a majority behind him. Since 2006 the singer and songwriters Max Gaier and Bobby Slivovsky, guitarist Miki Liebermann, accordionist and keyboard player Clemens Wenger and bassist Hanibal Scheutz, who first made an impression in the Jazzwerkstatt Wien and in “Ostbahn Kurti” Willi Resetarits‘s formation, have been enriching the Viennese song genre with soul, blues and jazz. Clever (“Leben wie Qualtinger und Sterben wie Heller”) yet also popular (“Siasse Tschick”), melancholic and humorous – yet the songs are always irresistible and their seven albums have won six Amadeus Awards. “Viennese soul” which should not be missing from Jazz & The City.
