Clara Habercamp: piano and vocals

Pianist and singer Clara Habercamp, born in 1989 as the daughter of two jazz musicians, was already a member of the NRW State Youth Jazz Orchestra for three years before her studies in Berlin (including with Hubert Nuss, David Friedman und John Hollenbeck). Alongside piano and composition she also studied song.  Her oeuvre therefore includes accompanying musical cabaret songwriters such as Gustav Peter Wöhler and Popette Betancor as well as her own jazz trio which has released three albums with Oliver Potratz on the bass and Jarle Vespestad on the drums. She has also released a solo album for example the 2018 “Neon Hill” which further establishes her reputation for having a very distinctive and bold style which far exceeds the jazz canon. In Salzburg she will, once again, be performing solo.
