Yoni Mayraz Quartet

Yoni Mayraz: keyboard | Tom Driessler: bass | Callum Connell: sax | Zoe Pascal: drums

Like Avishai Cohen, Omer Klein or Gilad Hekselman, keyboarder and producer Yoni Mayraz belongs to the youngest generation of many jazz musicians from Tel Aviv, just like. Whilst many notable Israeli figures used to conquer the world from Brooklyn, Mayraz settled in London where he worked with Tom Driessler, Zoe Pascal and El-B. His debut album “Dybbuk Tse!” which blends New York nineties rap and old school break beats with elements of the Middle Eastern music of his homeland to form a shimmering new type of music was recently released on Astigmatic Records. Mayraz now presents this in Salzburg with two energetic, dancefloor-focussed shows.
