The Gablerbräu, with its almost 600-year history, is the oldest tavern in Salzburg's right Altstadt. Away from the hectic tourist traffic, "das Gabler" is located in the middle of Linzer Gasse, before the ascent to Kapuzinerberg and in the immediate vicinity of the Sebastian cemetery.
The colourful glass paintings in the Richard-Mayr-Stube or the wood carvings in the Wappenstube, made according to medieval motifs, create an incomparable ambience: The eye loves to eat with them. Fragrances of seasonal delicacies and beer specialities, the breath of past centuries and yet the breeze of the present - the Gablerbräu was completely renovated in 2013 - provide this very special "Gabler feeling" that our regular guests so appreciate.
